ProBoard Sendit from Renegade Software
PBSendit -- FILE TAG AND SEND
UPGRADE / WHATS-NEW DOCUMENT
as of: 26 Jan 1996
NOTE FOR ALL USERS OF RAUSERS:
------------------------------
PBSendit keeps the files it needs to operate in the directory pointed
to by your ProBoard environment variable. If there is a particular part
of PBSendit not operating correctly and that option requires an external
file then most likely the file needed is not in your RA directory.
Examples are: PBSendit.Key, PBSendit.Cfg.
PBSendit V 1.05.2 upgrade information
----------------------------------
- Copy the PBSendit.Exe & CfgSend.Exe over the previous version.
- Fixed problem where in log it said the file copy/download
was successful & unsucessful
- Removed Dorinfo1.Def support, must use *D to create a Door.Sys
- FIXED (For Sure) resetting of flag. This is done by flipping the bit
in the Exitinfo.BBS file that PB reads when it re-enters the BBS
after dropping to run PBSendit. The Exitinfo will be looked for
in the same directory as the Door.Sys directory you specify on
the command line. This is the normal place for it to be found.
This fix also now fixes the counting of downloads if you have
this feature turned on in the cfgsend.
PBSendit V 1.04 upgrade information
----------------------------------
- If you were using the version for RA this version will work for PB.
- Be sure to set the path in the logname & Path
- Copy the PBSendit.Exe over the previous version.
- Reads the Proboard Config.Pro, Users.BBS * FilesIdx.PB directly.
- Added ability to turn on a flag in the usersbase if you send
a user a file. You need to decide if you want to use this. This
ability gives PBSendit a more seamless integration into RA. To
set it up is easy, just answer Yes or No to using it in the
CfgSend setup program and if to use it the flag to turn on
and off. It works like this: Setup your menu to run PBSendit
like before but also use the flag you just told CfgSend to
set. Then when the user signs on, if his flag is set then he
has a file waiting and PBSendit will run. When done PBSendit
checks the PBSendit.dat file to see if the user has anymore
files waiting, if not then the users flag is reset.
- If you are using a previous version PBSendit then
either turn on the flag you wish to use for this
for all users who have a file waiting or clear
all sends and resend them.
